Courses: Reflections on the Life of the Spirit
Courses designed to assist in the cultivation of the spiritual life of the individual.
The Course - "Reflections on the Life of the Spirit"
The purpose of "Reflections on the Life of the Spirit" is to help develop a concept of spirituality through review and reflection on the Word of God. In doing so, the participant can engage in open discussions on how such concepts and principles apply to the daily expression of life. The course is based on the Writings of the Baha'i Faith through which the participants discover their own unique understandings and enrich their learning through sharing insights with each other.

Course Objectives:

  •  Service to Others - To develop a sense of service to humanity as an essential expression of spiritual qualities. The course is intended to allow participants to reflect on the purpose of their lives and supports them in formulating practical acts of service to others. The study group is encouraged to work together in undertaking service projects of their choice in their local community.
  •  Promoting Unity Through Friendship - To cultivate strong bonds of friendship between the participants by incorporating social and cultural activities and encouraging mutual support.

Course Content - The course focuses on several fundamental topics of spirituality, which include:

  •  The nature of the soul
  •  Positive values and ethical conduct
  •  The spiritual dynamics of prayer
  •  Perspectives on life and death??

Course Structure:
Duration - Approximately 12 Weeks (2 Hour sessions, once a week)
(The duration and frequency of sessions can be varied to suit the needs of groups)

Each group, or study circle, consists of 5-10 participants, which is facilitated by a trained tutor. Courses can be arranged on request.
